On August 16, 2009 it was announced that land reclamation on Durrat Marina, part of Durrat Al Bahrain has been completed ahead of schedule by Joint Venture from Great Lakes and Nass Contracting.

The US $1.5 billion (BD565.5 million) project, which has been designed by Atkings, is scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of 2014. The development consists of three islands covering 480,000m2 and will include a 400-berth marina, as well as retail, residential and public spaces.
