The unveiling of the BD7mn Public Park in Bahrain will officially coincide with the National Day festivities in Bahrain, revealed a top official. The park is built on 7.5 hectares comprising green spaces, a marine facade, family lounges and facilities. Work on the park began in October last year, and forms a part of major project aimed at improving the recreational amenities for families in Bahrain and to beautify the nation. It also comprises development of land in the vicinity of Shaikh Khalifa Causeway, a recreation garden, man-made oasis, 45-meter tower for coffee shop and restaurant, playgrounds, walkways, water surfaces, harbour and prayer rooms. The park, being a huge project, will be named after H.H. Prince Khalifa, and will be a major attraction for visitors in the country. The project is one among the few parks in Bahrain to offer a sea view, and features a 300 stretch walkway and shopping amenities for visitors. The park will also include a viewing tower, to offer a complete view of the city, and a restaurant. Another note-worthy feature of the park is the artificial lake with pedalo boats, one of the few public gardens to host such an activity. These unique features of this park make it a major draw for visitors.
