MANAMA: Nass Corporation yesterday announced a net profit of BD3.628 million ($9.636m) for the first quarter of this year, up from BD2.960 million for the same period last year.

Announcing the results, Nass Corporation chairman Abdulla Ahmed Nass said that the company achieved a gross turnover of BD31.043m in first quarter of this year against BD23.751m in the first quarter of last year.

He said that the improved performance represented an increase of 30.70 per cent in the quarterly turnover and increase of 22.57pc in the quarterly net profit.

"Despite the volatile situations experienced by the construction industry in the recent past, the company's vigilant and cautious approach has helped in achieving satisfactory growth in performance," he said.
