Nass Contracting and Greatlakes have received the go-ahead from Diyaar Al Muharraq to extend the scope of their joint venture contract.

The deal will now include stage two of dredging, reclamation and marine shore protection works at Muharraq.

The contract value for the stage two is about BD70 million ($185.7m). The Greatlakes portion of the work is worth BD51.5m and Nass Contractings portion is BD18.5m. "The company enjoys a healthy work-order situation and is poised to maintain its satisfactory performance in the coming years." said Nass Corporation finance director Adel Nass.
