MANAMA: Nass Marine and Nass Mechanical will be showcasing their product range at the Work Boat Gulf exhibition.

The international trade exhibition is being staged in Bahrain from Monday to Wednesday.

As one of region's leading industrial conglomerates, Nass Group through its various divisions has been closely involved with marine projects.

"Our marine business is doing very well and we have a proactive approach to secure business building on our worldwide reputation," Nass Group director Sami Abdullah Nass said.

"Currently we are completing a major contract for Iraq and have already delivered six of the 12 dredgers that we have been building.

"We are also supplying clients as far as Nigeria and locally have provided special pontoons and floating harbours for Qatar Petroleum at Ras Laffan for bulk imports.

"In Kuwait, we have provided special jetties for passenger ships and for Saudi Arabia are work through sub-contractors to provide specialist vessels to service Saudi Aramco requirements," say Mr Nass.

Nass Marine Services specialises in building small- to medium-size vessels for a range of purposes as well as ship repair.

The company's reputation and wide experience in major shipbuilding and ship repairing worldwide is underpinned by qualifications and certification from reputed classification societies such as the American Bureau of Shipping.
