Gulf Development Corporation (Gulf Corp) was formed in 1986, to help the Nass Group seek out trading and business opportunities internationally. Its main activities include bulk transportation, marine services, dredging, piling and reclamation work.
The company owns and operates a marine fleet of over 20 tugs, barges and bulk tankers with which it transports several million tons of bulk materials around the Gulf every year. In addition, a feeder service between the UAE ports and other Gulf ports, for the transport of containers and break tonnage, is provided.
Gulf Corp is a major bulk transporter in Asia, notably Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. A branch office was set up in Singapore to manage the Group’s Asian operations.
The company owns a fleet of trailer-suction, cutter-suction dredgers, dump hopper barges and auxiliary equipment, and is involved in dredging and land reclamation contracts in the UK, South America, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia.
Another marine fleet caters to the offshore oil industry, providing berthing and unberthing for supertankers, as well as, surveying, maintenance and diving services. Gulf Corp also engages in the development of industrial and contracting projects worldwide.
