Nass The Group’s solutions incorporate construction capabilities of heavy civil and building, mechanical contracting (EPC), electrical contracting, automation and instrumentation, interior, landscapes, and offshore activities.
Our manufacturing business offers prefabricated piping systems, general fabrication and ready-mixed and precast concrete products. The Group’s service offerings encompass heavy lifting solutions, transport and logistics, scaffolding, waste management, non-destructive testing (NDT), equipment rental and other services that cater to all sectors. The Company’s Marine line manufactures vessels and barges, and provides professional marine transport services.
Our Trading and Marketing divisions deal in a wide range of construction chemicals and equipment and represent major international brands such as BASF, CASE and SCHWING.

Abdulla Ahmed Nass Contracting Co. established by the late Mr. Abdulla Ahmed Nass. The Company commenced working on a number of prominent projects including The Royal Air Force Bahrain, Aysha Girls School in Manama, and Electrical Grid Systems, Sewage Systems, and Ground Cable Laying in Manama. Nass Commercial division commences operations in the early 1960’s, as a support function for Nass The Group’s contracting division, gaining full independence in 1986
Building work begins on two of the Kingdom’s major housing projects. The rst was the original Isa Town Housing project, the 1st Housing complex of its kind in Bahrain, while the second was the Hamad Town Housing Project.
The Company commences work on the Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) Plant. Phase 1 encompassed work on the Alba plant itself, while subsequent work comprised phased expansions. Today, the Group is working on Phase 6 of the Alba expansion project. The year also witnessed the rst of many successful Joint Ventures (JV’s) with Tarmac International resulting in Bahrain’s rst concrete company, and the Gulf’s rst ready-mix service provider.
The Company’s Mechanical division is established, and undertakes major projects at the BAPCO re nery including shut down maintenance and tank building. Nass also secures a contract for the rebuild and repair of the re nery after a re interrupts oil production. Successful JV with Tarmac International for Housing and Infrastructure completes the Bahrain International Airport Apron. First Muharraq Bridge is built. Construction of Gulf Hotel – the First Five Star Hotel in Bahrain. Construction of ‘Government House Building for Independence’ now called the ‘Secretarial building’.
Delmon Ready-mix established and rapidly emerges as Bahrain’s leading ready-mix concrete company and a key player in the development of Bahrain’s infrastructure.
Nass Sand Processing Plant is formed to supply washed building sand to Bahrain’s ourishing construction industry.
Artland Interior – one of Bahrain’s foremost furniture, interior design and t out companies is established. Nass Electrical is established as a JV with Balfour Kilpatrick International, UK and commences work on a diverse array of electrical and instrumentation contracting projects.
Nass Foods is established as a foremost importer and wholesaler of frozen food products. The company becomes one of the most preferred food supply-chain companies in the region.
Bahrain Bulk Trade WLL, (BBT), is established as an importer of Crushed Aggregates from the UAE.
Delmon Precast is formed. The Company becomes one of Bahrain’s leading precast companies offering high quality custom made products for Civil Engineering and building applications.
Shahnaz Enterprises is established to provide specialised marine engineering and maintenance services including ship repair, steel fabrication and pipe tting. Gulf Acid Industries is established. The Company encompasses a state- of-the-art Sulphuric Acid Plant that provides the Kingdoms re neries, desalination plants, iron, steel and petrochemical complexes with over 30 metric tons of sulphuric acid per day.
Gulf Development Corporation (Gulf Corp.) is formed. The Company is established to maximise on the Group’s international trading and business opportunities in regards to bulk transportation, marine services, dredging, piling and reclamation work.
Nass commences Phase 2 of Alba expansion Power Stations Anode Project Nass participates in JV with Balfour Beatty to build foundation and jetty for GIIC steel plant. United Cement Co. (UCC), BBT, and Gulf Corp. divisions commence operation to support Delmon Ready- mix and Delmon Precast activities.
Nass brand equity is strengthened in Europe through the building of strategic relationships with a network of international contractors. First NASS Tower is built and cladded with Michael Angelo Marble. Today the tower is known as the ‘Pension Fund Building’. Sewage works commence at Hamad town, Pumping Stations and Electrical substations of 600mgw .
A scaffolding division is established to support the Group’s activities. The division becomes Nass Scafform- a leading provider of scaffolding and formwork services to regional and international companies throughout the Gulf. Nass Ice and Sweet Water Plant is formed. The Company now operates 3 plants and is Bahrain’s leading supplier of sweet water and ice cubes. Nass key player in various major projects including Qassim Cement Plant, Saudi Arabia, a Cement Plant in Qatar, an Equate Polyethylene Plant in Kuwait, a Steel Rolling Plant in Kuwait, and the Hidd Power station – 800mgw project in Bahrain.
Nass Group opens af liate of ces Abdulla Nass and Partner Co., Ltd. (ANPC) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Al – Ghanim Nass General Trading & Contracting (AGN) in Kuwait.
Nass Landscapes is established to offer quality landscape construction, maintenance and horticulture services.
Bahrain Organic Products is formed under the Middle East Agriculture & Animalism Co. W.L.L. The Company remains Bahrain’s only manufacturer of organic fertilizers for landscaping and agricultural applications and the exclusive agent for Sanoplant, a pioneering water- saving product.
Sarens Nass Middle East (SNME) is established as a JV between Belgium based Sarens Group and the Nass Group to provide professional crane rental, heavy lift and transport solutions to local and international companies throughout the Middle East.
The Applied Science University (ASU) of the Kingdom of Bahrain is founded under license by the Council of Ministers, and is an independent higher educational institution accredited by Bahrain’s Ministry of Education.
The Group consolidates its core construction related businesses into Nass Corporation BSC, and becomes the rst family owned company in the kingdom to be listed on the Bahrain Stock Exchange. Nass Marine Services is established as specialists in the building of small to medium sized vessels, ship repairs, and the application of new maritime technologies. Bahrain Building Chemicals W.L.L. is formed. The Company is the exclusive distributor of BASF Admixtures and Construction Systems in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Body Corporate Services (BCS), is established as a joint venture between Nass The Group and BCS Australia, a world leading Strata Management Company with over 30 years of industry leadership and more than 150,000 properties under management. The Company emerges as Bahrain’s premiere Strata Management Company. Nass International Trading is formed. The Company is the exclusive agent for Hyundai Elevators Co. Ltd, a world-renowned company with over 3 decades of experience in pioneering movement systems.
Dona Marine is formed to provide marine shipping for the transport of limestone and gabbro crushed aggregates from quarries located in Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE to the Nass Group’s dedicated marine aggregates jetty in Hidd, Bahrain. Braemar Nass, which was established as a JV in 2006, is incorporated to provide quality golf course construction solutions.
Abrasive Technology Industries (ATI) is established in Dammam’s Second Industrial City. The Company is formed in partnership with the Shaheen Group and is a state of the art manufacturer of high-quality resin bonded cutting and grinding wheels. The Nass Group establishes its presence in Abu Dhabi with the opening of an af liate of ce to serve the growing construction needs of its ourishing market. Nass Scafform, a division of Nass Corporation, was the rst of the Nass Group of companies to enter the market trading as Nass Scaffolding Services. Nass commences work on the Muharraq Sewage Treatment Plant Reclamation Works Construction of King Hamad University Hospital commences.
The Nass Group expands its operation into the Sultanate of Oman, trading as the Nass Group LLC, Oman. Since establishment the Group’s subsidiary, Sarens Nass Middle East (SNME) has entered the market to offer engineered crane service solutions to Oman’s thriving construction sector.
