The Company commences work on the Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) Plant. Phase 1 encompassed work on the Alba plant itself, while subsequent work comprised phased expansions. Today, the Group is working on Phase 6 of the Alba expansion project. The year also witnessed the rst of many successful Joint Ventures (JV’s) with Tarmac International resulting in Bahrain’s rst concrete company, and the Gulf’s rst ready-mix service provider.

Building work begins on two of the Kingdom’s major housing projects. The rst was the original Isa Town Housing project, the 1st Housing complex of its kind in Bahrain, while the second was the Hamad Town Housing Project.
1963
Abdulla Ahmed Nass Contracting Co. established by the late Mr. Abdulla Ahmed Nass. The Company commenced working on a number of prominent projects including The Royal Air Force Bahrain, Aysha Girls School in Manama, and Electrical Grid Systems, Sewage Systems, and Ground Cable Laying in Manama. Nass Commercial division commences operations in the early 1960’s, as a support function for Nass The Group’s contracting division, gaining full independence in 1986
